The Great Discovery

In the winter of 1744, when Dmitry Ivanovich Vinogradov stood before the kilns of the newly established Imperial Porcelain Factory, he held in his hands the secret that would shake the foundations of European ceramic tradition. For decades, the precious formula for true hard-paste porcelain had been guarded by Meissen like a crown jewel, with imported kaolin from China making the process impossibly expensive for any European court.

Vinogradov's breakthrough was nothing short of revolutionary: he had discovered vast deposits of premium kaolin near Saint Petersburg, creating porcelain that not only matched but surpassed the quality of the great German manufactories. This was the moment the factory entered the exclusive circle of Europe's premier porcelain manufacturers, with technical excellence that would influence ceramic art for the next three centuries.

Masterpieces of the World

The Imperial Porcelain Factory's earliest masterpieces established a new standard for European ceramic art. From gold-inlaid snuffboxes that rivaled the treasures of Versailles to dinner services painted with botanical precision, each piece demonstrated technical excellence that immediately placed this porcelain among the world's finest collections.

By 1756, the factory's monumental kilns enabled creation of works previously thought impossible in European porcelain: elaborate state dinner services, ceremonial ensembles for imperial palaces, and decorative objects that became diplomatic gifts worthy of European royalty. Today, these pieces form the backbone of the world's greatest porcelain collections and continue to inspire ceramic artists across the globe.

The brand is instantly recognized by its signature Cobalt Net pattern — a design that has become a symbol of elegance and ceramic heritage. We bring these fine hand-crafted masterpieces directly from St. Petersburg to you.

Our collection includes the famous tea & coffee services, exquisite dinner sets, hand-painted animal figurines, vases, and exclusive collectibles suitable for the most refined interiors.

"
